Mission

Founded in 2025 by Mark Behan, PEDESTL's mission is to elevate artists' and art buyers' commissioning experience for good.

Many independent artists face a struggle to reach their audience through constantly evolving online marketing norms, costly physical space, and other administrative burdens, all of which take away from their purpose - to create art.

Likewise, willing art buyers often have to navigate an ocean of social media, and difficult interactions in order to commission a piece. The transactions can be financially risky, and buyers may experience anxiety about getting their money's worth.

PEDESTL's Commission Concierge service seeks to alleviate both problems. By building a network of trusted, high quality artists, and walking hand in hand with art buyers through the journey, PEDESTL provides peace of mind to buyers, who can explore their brief in confidence without feeling pressured.

PEDESTL manages secure payment facilities, agreements to protect both parties, and ensures an exceptional level of service for the buyer throughout the whole commissioning experience.

We also offer premium white glove delivery, whereby we collect the piece from the artist's studio, and deliver it to you on a dedicated vehicle, complete with GPS tracking and inside delivery and unpacking, before removing any waste packaging. We can also offer a framing service if required.

Quality: we believe true quality cannot be faked, and so we vet our artists through an onboarding process and establish quality over time, which means you can be assured your commission will be to the highest possible standard, in creation and delivery.
